DAILY MORNING YOGA, MEDITATION & BREATH WORK

A daily 7am yoga will be available (bookings necessary one day in advance) on the stunning beach-side terrace belonging to the resort where the freediving school is (Luna Beach).

The classes can also be personalized on request.

YIN YOGA

This class focuses on long-held, passive postures aimed at increasing flexibility and releasing deep muscle tension.

Yin Yoga is calming and restorative, perfect for improving joint mobility, enhancing breath control, and promoting relaxation, which benefits freedivers by improving flexibility and focus.

VINYASA YOGA

Vinyasa is a dynamic, flowing style of yoga where breath and movement are synchronized. The class involves a series of poses performed in a continuous flow, offering strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular benefits.

For freedivers, Vinyasa helps build core strength, stability, and controlled breathing, which are essential for better performance in the water.

HATHA YOGA

Hatha Yoga focuses on slower-paced poses, with an emphasis on alignment, breathing, and mindfulness. It’s a great way to build strength, flexibility, and improve overall body awareness.

For freedivers, Hatha provides an excellent foundation for balance, mobility, and deepening breathwork, which is vital for holding your breath longer and staying relaxed during dives.

BREATH WORK

This class is specifically tailored to freedivers, emphasizing controlled breathing techniques to optimize lung capacity and breath-holding abilities.

By practicing diaphragmatic breathing, box breathing, and other techniques, students will improve their breath control, increase their relaxation, and enhance their diving performance.

GUIDED VISUALIZATION FOR FREEDIVERS

This class focuses on mental techniques designed to improve focus, relaxation, and performance in the water. Using guided visualization, participants are led through scenarios that promote calmness and focus, such as visualizing successful dives, relaxing in a peaceful underwater environment, or mentally rehearsing breath-holding techniques. The class also incorporates deconcentration exercises, helping freedivers detach from distractions and tension.
This mental training enhances concentration, reduces anxiety, and allows freedivers to perform with greater ease and confidence, both mentally and physically.

All these classes will complement freediving training by enhancing flexibility, breath control, and overall mental focus, all of which are key for a successful freediving experience.

AQUATIC BODYWORK ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS

Aquatic Bodywork is a therapeutic movement practice that connects body and mind through fluid, gentle motion, helping to balance the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and promote deep relaxation.

This is a personalized experience where you are supported and guided by ourpractitioner at the surface of the water or just below.

We offer private sessions in the calming environment of shallow sea water; this type of water massage enhances focus, calms the nervous system, and fosters a sense of tranquility both on land and underwater. This is also highly beneficial and recommended for those who feel fearful of the water, as it encourages trust and a deeper connection to the aquatic environment, helping to build confidence and comfort in the water.
